Fairfield Farm

The Edge family have farmed pork for at least three generations, our pigs are reared using time honoured techniques which result in a particular taste and texture in our finished pork products. We have never found it necessary to use chemicals to raise our pigs, and the difference this makes is clear in our products. Our family consists of Phillip & Louise Edge and our young children Rhiannon, Bronwen & Giselle.

Our Farm Shop

By selling direct we hope to re-introduce customers to taste and reliable quality and give our family a better quality of life with more time for each other than larger scale commercial farming allows. Our level of achievement has recently been recognised by the awarding of North West Fine Food Producer of the Year - specifically for our Gammon. We were awarded Best Meat, Best Cured Meat and Supreme Champion for this product.

In keeping with the principle of Farm Shops, all the pork products we sell are created on site by Phillip & Louise Edge using pork only from our own farm.

Award Winning Produce

We specialise in pork products including: Award winning Dry Cured Gammon available in joints or steaks, Sweet Dry Cured Bacon , Home Made Sausages using natural skins and the finest ingredients and Fresh Pork with a long forgotten taste. Special Diets are catered for including Gluten Free and Additive Free. Highest Quality Ribble Valley Beef is also available from a trusted local supplier. For special occasions we produce Porchetta (particularly favoured by Heathcotes Outside), a young pig, boned, rolled and stuffed with whatever your imagination dictates.
